If I buy an adult shih tzu and leave it at home from 7-3, will it be ok?

You need to make sure it is housetrained, and doesn't have any major separation anxieties or anything, but under normal circumstances, an adult dog can be left alone that long and perfectly happy. Just make sure the animal gets plenty of exercise and attention when you are home.
