Why is cheryl still a singer but stacey solomon isnt?

It doesn't make sense. As much as I like Cheryl Cole she can't sing. Stacey Solomon can sing and people say she can't. In my opinion Cheryl should be a model. Stacey did make a great host on "sing if you can" but she could be a singer too.
